March 28th, 2007 Tornado Chase
During the March 28, 2007 outbreak, me and my dad traveled out to the Texas/Oklahoma panhandles. We witnessed 6 tornades in the span of one hour, an amazing amount. Storm chasers Darin Brunin and Dick mcgowan got within 100 yards of the extremely photogenic, "Wizard of Oz" tornado near Roll, OK on April 26, 2009! The ground circulation was very intense, and they were blasted by 60+MPH inflow winds as they were outside their vehicle taking stills and shooting video! Later they had another close encounter with the second tornado the storm produced - a massive 1/4 mile wide stovepipe!

Here the Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative clears the right-of-way with a Kershaw cutter. They do this about every 5 years. Notice the "blades" spinning as he turns the front deck around for the final pass!
