When Samba Ghano found a sponsor in 2008, he moved from Fullabantang, his village in Upper River Region, to Janjanbureh to attend Armitage School as a boarding student. This summer he came to the capital area ("the Kombos" are the districts south and west of the capital) to attend a one-month science program at St. Theresa's School. Now he is going back to Armitage to begin grade 11, after which he will have one more year to graduate from 12th grade and senior secondary school.
