Title:
2nd prototype, test #1 - baby hiller flying platform

Description:
New prototype under control of SRV-1 Blackfin camera board with 802.11g radio, with smaller HiMaxx 2805CR coaxial motors. Having trouble getting enough power out of the battery pack or motors (will try another battery later), but Blackfin board is working nicely, driving 2 servos and 2 electronic speed controllers. Once battery and motor issues are resolved, we'll add accelerometers for attitute and a gyro for yaw

Bjorge using LabVIEW for monitoring Ormen Lange Pipeline
www.viroadshow.com Ormen Lange is the largest natural gas reservoir in the world and is located off the west coast of Norway. Bjorge and a few other companies are working to create a 1200 Kilometer pipeline 1000 meters below the surface of the sea that will pump natural gas from the Ormen Lange reservoir in Norway to the UK. Bjorge used the labview embedded module with the Blackfin processor to create a monitoring system that monitors the condition of the pipeline in the rough terrain of a ...
Hiller VZ-1

Blakebrough's Winged Self
Blakebrough's Winged Self hovers like a flying carpet controlled by the artist's body movements. This is a real flying platform based on the 1950s vertical flight experiments of Charles Zimmerman proving the feasibility of a simple aircraft flyable by anyone capable of riding a bicycle. You can see it in person at The Big Chill festival this summer.
