John Williams & Julian Bream - Clair De Lune (Debussy)
Two of the greats of classical guitar interpret a piece originally written for piano. 'Clair De Lune' is the third movement of Debussy's 'Suite Bergamasque', thought be based in turn on Paul Verlaine's poem Clair De Lune. This is one of the most famous classical pieces and has been used in innumerable movies and TV shows. The literal translation of the term 'clair de lune' is 'moonlight'. Strangely, whenever I listen to it, I picture the opposite: warm, sunny, summer afternoons...........
