 | the real Streets of Rage Please Read. This video is about the state of the gulf coast, especially new orleans, after hurricane katrina. I used the Streets of Rage video game as a sort of backdrop for how i feel. The first part parodies the game intro very closely, I made as few changes as possible to the words. The second part parodies the bad end, and I also scrolled some 'credits' to go along with the game. It seems to be an appropriate comparison for the situation after hurricane katrina: dead bodies lying around, crime increase, and weakened police force. I also wrote a small article about this on my blog. if you've never played sor or seen the bad ending don't take the "you became the boss, you are great" seriously. At the end of a 2player game one player can choose to become the boss of the evil syndicate. Succeeding will bring about the bad end. I am using the wording straight from the game here to reference to the death and destruction brought about by a bad end, and how "bosses" don't seem to care. |
