More pictures and film from my yard and the dam across the street from my house. I did leave my house yesterday and stayed at my grandparent's house for the night. Amazingly, when I got back, the water was all back in the creek where it should be. It really is incredible. I think the worst is past, and the sun is shining and it hasn't rained today. Atlanta Flood Sept 21, 2009 - Morningside/Virginia Highlands
2009 Flood at my house in Morningside/Virginia Highlands (Atlanta, GA). Our driveway is the lowest point in the neighborhood, so 90% of the dirty a** Atlanta rain water in our neighborhood washed into our driveway and house!
Yard like a river
Video I took during a brief but heavy thunderstorm earlier today, which only served to aggravate an already serious flooding situation in west metro. As of this time, over 17" inches of rain has fallen at my home in Douglasville in 48 hours (incl. over 11" inches since midnight)......several are dead in this area....drowned after being swept away by the raging waters.
