On this edition of Summer Travels, buckle up and join us as we do a speed run down Interstate 264 in Virginia Beach. Starting just west of the Rosemont Road exit (Exit 18), we travel through the Interstate 64 junction in Norfolk and end up at our final destination in downtown Norfolk. Watch as the skyline of Downtown Norfolk comes into view just west of Brambleton Road. Listen to Blessid Union of Souls give us the soundtrack to the travel, playing their 1990's hit song, "Oh Virginia".

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued at 1:30pm EST in Norfolk, Va for a large supercell with hail.

Interstate 264 in Virginia Beach heading east toward the coast. This was Rt.44 from the Norfolk line east and had toll of 25 cents until maybe 10 years ago. Since the tolls were removed the road surface condition has grown worse (not that I am advocating tolls).
