Richmond Elementary Japanese Immersion School
Richmond Elementary Japanese Immersion School is an award-winning school in Portland, Oregon. It is also where my own kids spend most of their week. My five-year-old sings Japanese songs. My eight-year-old now reads and writes in the English alphabet, hirigana, katakana and is starting to learn kanji. We are really lucky. This is a video I made to promote our school.
Japanese Baseball: Hiroshima vs Chiba (IU Documentary)
In June 2008, Indiana University Telecom students ventured to Japan for two weeks to document the country. The following segment covers a baseball game of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp against the Chiba Lotte Marines. Our favorite moment? The 7th Inning Stretch.
Eat!
Another video from my trip to Japan, mostly inspired because while looking at mine and everyone else's pictures, I was surprised at how many there were of us chowing down. So here's a little video of all that yummy Japanese food and the fun we had getting together and eating it, set to some seriously old-school No Doubt (not that we ever had access to all that American food sung about in the song while in Japan). Enjoy!
