Due to our rapid growth and progressive business objectives, we are looking for talented Regional Sales Manager to lead, motivate, coach and train our managers and staff. We provide training; you provide the ambition and determination. This position will require you to travel to stores in your district. Currently those stores are located in Omaha, Lincoln & Council Bluffs. Eventually Des Moines could be added to the region. Basic Duties: Training ? Store managers o Hold 1-1?s with store managers during each store visit o Store level administrative duties o People managing (how to be a better manager/leader) o Deal working/selling/closing ? ie sales process o Phone skills o How to train sales staff on Saturdays, conference calls, teaching moments o How to monitor the sales staff ? work efforts, skills, accomplishments o Time management (what to do when, what is important) o Inventory management o Interacting with customers o Plan for & lead monthly, in-person, all day training sessions with store managers o Review & assist store managers with the preparation & use of their desk calendars, weekly plans, and store game plans. ? Sales staff o Deal working/selling/closing ? ie sales process o Phone skills Measure stores performance - monitor and compare to goals ? Store activities & results ? tracked by market, store & by salesperson - weekly oRecruiting ? Store managers ? Salespeople Monitoring ? Store visits will be documented using a consistent form & rating system ? Review physical facilities ? cleanliness & needed maintenance ? Review organization of the lot & surrounding areas ? Review inventory ? to ensure necessary buyer?s guides & ?not for sale? sheets are displayed, etc ? Review scheduling, punctuality, and overtime ? Review store manager?s training progress and training activities ? Review training progress of new hires ? Monitor and help develop each store?s action plans ? Review deals ? pre-apps, deal sheets, applications, underwriting requests, prospect notes, etc. ? Listen to managers & salespeople make phone calls ? Watch managers & salespeople work deals ? Observe staff interaction with customers ? Attend different store manager 1-1?s with salespeople each week ? Listen to some training conference calls ? Monitor consistency/compliance with the CarHop system ? Monitor newly hired salespeople to ensure they proceed as expected through their first 90 days of their employment Administrative ? Plan for weekly managers meetings/conference calls ? Document the results from the weekly manager?s conference calls & the issues discussed ? so you can more easily follow up on action items from prior meetings and ensure the action items are getting done. ? Plan for weekly system wide training/conference calls for managers & salespeople ? Resolve customer complaints and/or assist store managers as they resolve complaints. ? Research and resolve deposit issues as needed ? Complete performance appraisals for direct reports ? Review performance appraisals for salespeople ? Continually review staffing levels and anticipate needed changes. Document staffing plans and justify the need to add or delete staff based on activity levels, anticipated openings, etc. Update this analysis monthly. ? Continually update the salesperson training manual ? Continually update the store manager?s training manual The above does not include all the duties of this position. It is expected from time to time there will be other duties that are not specifically listed here which you will be expected to complete. Required knowledge and qualifications Education High School diploma or equivalent; College degree helpful Minimum 2 years previous sales experience (face to face prefered) Minimum 3 years previous regional/district management experience of multiple locations.
