You will have to pay to see the rock up close but I suggest that you save you money and watch this video. The rock is not much of a sight and what I am showing is all that there is to see - you can see panoramic vistas all over the place. The town of Blowing Rock, however, is a great place to visit.

Riding the Parkway and hiking around Price Lake
Here are a few Pictures and video clips of us riding the Parkway from Blowing Rock North Carolina up to Grandfather Mountain. Had a nice walk around the lake enjoying the geese, the handy work of the beavers and Abbey's first swim.

The second week of November I took a little trip to NC.I stayed at Price Park campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway at night,and went to see the sights all day.The next time I go I'm surely taking my dog along,Blowing rock is the most dog friendly town I've ever seen.All the hotels,and parks post signs saying dogs are welcome.The views from Grandfather mountain,and the blowing rock were spectacular,the pictures don't do the views justice,and the locals hanging out at the campground were ...
