A Tour Of Poor Dayton - Tour of So-Called "Corner of Chaos"
Title:
A Tour Of Poor Dayton - Tour of So-Called "Corner of Chaos"
Description:
I'm back in Downtown Dayton, and I want to show you the corner of chaos.... The corner of Third and Main. Dayton's local Regional Transit Authority (commonly known as RTA) has built a bus station in 2002 and opened it to commerical and passenger usage. Since it's opening, many youth and some adults have found a way to claim the corner as theirs. In 2005, Dayton has a riot at the corner and the local news dubbed the area: The "Corner of Chaos". This is one of the most target areas for the Dayton Police. Most young African Americans use the public transportation as a means of travel. Now RTA has became more aggressive with their bus scheduling and its routing. The goal is to isolate people from hanging out at the corner during the nights and also attract non-bus riders to downtown. But since downtown has no shopping center, it's a depressing site. Can RTA solve this problem? It's a community issue and a reasonable thought! See other videos on my other profile at http://youtube.com/MrBrianBeach FAQ- The reason why I call this a Tour of Poor Dayton is because of the area's declining population, jobs, boarded homes, business closings and economic turmoil in Montgomery, Miami and Greene Counties. And most likely Ohio in general. I have a reason for the title. If you have concerns, send me a message. So that will put to rest any questions of why I titled the videos!
