The video begins with a night train trip from Hanoi to Lao Cai and then a trip into what the French called the "Tonkinese Alps". The area has the tallest mountain in Southeast Asia, giant nature preserves, water falls and native markets. We visit Bac Ha and see the Flower Hmong pepole. Then we take a river cruise on the Chay River and visit native people. A truely incredible place.
