Title:
History of Locks, Our trip to the Science Museum

Description:
Yesterday me and the missus decided to take the kids upto the city to the Science Museum. Anyways after hours of walking around the museum we ended up at the basement level where I found this really cool exhibition (History or locks)!! Lucky I brought the camera with me!! We walked into the room and the missus said "Oh no! Come on kids, Daddies gonna be in here for ages!!! LOL The video is a bit rushed through, wouldnt have been able to get it all in 10mis!! The large see through and cut-away models were really cool, although not all of them worked! and it was nice to see some of the real early types of locks. I just wanted to get behind the glass and get a pick in some of them especially the high security locks lol I think I had a more fun at the museum than the kids did LOL! Sorry about the anoying noise in the background there was an alarm going off somewhere.

Picking Medeco Biaxial
This is a video of me picking and disassembling a brand new 6 pin Medeco Biaxial mortise cylinder. These locks are UL437 rated and are extremely high security. in order to pick these locks you must both lift the pins to the shear line and rotate them to the proper position to allow the fingers of the sidebar to fit in to the grooves of the key pins. rate it if you liked it, and thanks for watching.

Chubb Changeable Lever Lock
I found this on toool.nl. The lock comes with different keys, and whichever one is used to lock it, is the only one that can unlock it. Very impressive considering it is from 1910!

Lock Picking ASSA (HIGH SECURITY) Euro/Profile Thumb Turn Cylinder
I finally managed to get this lock picked on camera, I never thought I would be able to get the picking time down enough on this lock. This has to be the hardest lock I have picked so far! with very high tolerances and full of security pins, its a real toughy and puts up such a good fight!! Picked with a Peterson Half Diamond.
Picking 50mm Brass Padlock with Side Pins (spp'd)
Bought this lock on Sunday from a local carboot sale (£1.50) LOL Its a five pin lock with 4 side pins, 2 regular size side pins & 2 small pins!! as far as I can tell all driver and key pins are all regular. It seems to be an unbranded lock, there is some kinda emblem on the key but not seen it before, I'm guessing its probably a fairly cheap lock, although it does have a nice solid quality feel about it. A nice lock which was fun to pick! DONT FORGET TO GET ALL YOUR LOCK PICKING TOOLS ...
