Norfolk Southern 20G - Rare SD70M!
August 8, 2007: Continuing the tour, NS 20G heads through Hummelstown, down from CP Tara, after passing 262 at the terminal. I was surprised to see a rare old style of SD70M, NS 2584 with BNSF Dash-9-44CW trailing. There is a defect detector at this location, MP 103.3. In my next video I head all the way to Cove, PA, on the Pittsburgh Line where I caught 36A. Video 3 of 11.

Turn up your speakers to get the full affect. A CFMG train approching the crossings in Atholville was sounding the horn whereas there was a really awesome echo coming off of the surrounding mountains.
NS 13N Auto Parts train at Cove
Norfolk Southern train 13N, which hauls automobile traffic, is seen here in Cove, Pennsylvania (just outside of Harrisburg) on 5/5/2007. This train no longer runs due to the shutdown of the Chrysler automobile plant in Newark, DE, which generated most, if not all, of this train's traffic.\ www.csxrailfanpage.com

Two Norfolk Southern Locomotives... Tons of Coal
Two Norfolk Southern locomotives with tons of coal make their way from Wyoming County, West Virginia to the Norfolk, Virginia shipyards. The following video shows the locomotives climbing a continental divide. The waters from the video go to the New River (ultimately to the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico), on the other side of the tunnel the waters go to the Roanoke River (ultimately to the Atlantic Ocean)
Train on the Hanover Subdivision
Southbound train on the Hanover Subdivision sounds its horn for a grade crossing. The horn has a beautiful echo going on. Sorry about the quality, the video was taken with my old digital camera switched to movie mode. This line is also known as the old Western Maryland.
