Ugljevik is a municipality and town of the same name in northeast Bosnia and Herzegovina. The municipality located in the eastern foothills of Mount Majevica, in picturesque countryside, where wondrous and beautiful mountain starts descending towards the flatlands of Semberija, to which it is tied more than any other surrounding area. The center of the municipality is the town of Ugljevik, the most sunbathed and modern of communities in Republika Srpska. This is the home of miners and other energy resource professionals. |

 | Stari Ugljevik Nekadasnji centar istoimene opstine, Ugljevik je dozivio sudbinu velikog broja rudarskih mjesta. Ugalj, po kome je i dobio ime, i koji je bio glavni uzrok njegovog nastanka, bio je i njegova kob... Zbog eksploatacije uglja koje se nalazi ispod njega, citavo mjesto je preseljeno par kilometara dalje 80-ih godina XX vijeka. Tako je nastao novi Ugljevik, a stari lokalitet je dobio epitet "Stari" Ugljevik, gdje je stotinjak preostalih zitelja ostalo da ceka eksproproaciju na samoj ivici povrsinskog kopa! |
