Unedited, raw video footage taken at Chanute AFB on October 4-5, 1989. Chanute, of course, was closed in 1993 following a 1998 Congressional recommendation. Many of the old buildings like this one and especially P-3 (White Hall) have long fallen into decay. UEU314 Armour Meat Packing Plant, National City, Ill, U.S.A.
This is a UEU314 expedition a while back at the shuttered Armour Meat Packing plant just north of East Saint Louis in National City. This was quite a find of machinery and structures. It is relatively secluded off of route 3 with the wilderness building up around the structure, and there are scrap metal poachers all around. There is some beautiful craftwork in the machinery.
Peter Cooper Glue Factory
This was one of the more remarkable explorations by the UEU 314 made in September of 08 during a visit to Chicago and Milwaukee. We stopped just south of Milwaukee to see the secluded Peter Cooper Glue Factory on Lake Michigan. The walk up was pretty amazing for we had to walk through the late summer high grass, up hills and over rocks along the lake.
