![]() | Developing Time Travel Part 1 Coast To Coast AM Wednesday August 8th, 2007 Developing Time Travel Professor of Physics at the Univ. of Conn., Dr. Ron Mallett shared his research into time travel. His interest in developing a time machine was brought about by the early death of his father and his desire to go back into the past and see him. Mallett's concept for a time machine (see graphic below) centers around the idea that a circulating beam of light can cause a twisting of space and time, looping the past and future together. Travel into the past could only occur during the time frame that the machine had been turned on, as those are the moments that are "preserved," he explained. For instance, if the machine was created in January 2008 and left on for a year, any month in 2008 could be visited in 2009. However, to go back further into time, he suggested that humans might eventually have access to ET's time machines which may have existed for thousands of years. Time machines could have practical uses as early warning devices, giving notice about catastrophes. While the cost to create one could run into the billions of dollars, Mallett said his first stage of experimentation would run about $250,000. Once the basic principles can be established, it will take about five years to demonstrate the twisting of light with subatomic particles, and another five years for the twisting of space. He predicted that we could have human time travel by the end of this century. More Info & Links: http://www.coasttocoastam.com/shows/2007/08/08.html Coast To Coast AM: http://www.coasttocoastam.com |

This documentary features some of Dr. Mallett's current time travel research. It has since been shown numerous times on The Science Channel. Ronald L. Mallett, PhD is a professor of theoretical physics at the University of Connecticut. He discovered a possible way to travel in time by applying Einstein's theory of relativity to laser light moving in a circle. The program uses CGI to illustrate his theories. Mallett was one of the first African-Americans to obtain a PhD in theoretical physics. He was inspired to do so because he wished to travel back in time to visit his dead father, who died when Mallett was ten. HG Wells did it by means of an armchair and a cut lead crystal handle. The Starship Enterprise does it by unfeasibly powerful engines. And Doctor Who managed it in a 1960s police box, of all things. But just what is the truth behind time travel -- does modern day physics allow such a venture? |
![]() | John Titor & Time Travel . part 1of12 http://theartofoneness.blogspot.com/ If you like this you might like my blog too Historian for alleged time traveler John Titor, Oliver Williams reviewed the facts of the remarkable case, and related some of Titor's past predictions to recent news stories. Titor's story has been pieced together from posts he made on Internet discussion boards beginning in November 2000 and ending in March 2001. He claims to have traveled to 1975 from the year 2036 (a period recovering from the devastation of World War III)-- to find an IBM computer that was needed to fix something in his time. Williams believes that we could be living in an alternate reality that was changed by Titor's visit in 1975. Specifically, he did something to stop Y2K from happening, said Williams. According to the timeline Titor shared, America entered a Civil War between 2005 and 2010, then became involved in a global war which culminated in a nuclear exchange in 2015. By 2036, the population had been reduced by one third, society is more agrarian and the US capitol is in Nebraska. The country is divided up into five main areas, with states having more control. Williams noted that the upcoming research at CERN may lead to unexpected breakthroughs in time travel-- and that Titor had posted comments connecting experiments at CERN to the development of time travel. Williams has created several podcasts related to the Titor story, which can be viewed on You Tube. |
