Storytellers in Residence for Crookston Castle

Title:
Storytellers in Residence for Crookston Castle

Description:
Little-known historical gem Crookston Castle is Glasgow's only surviving medieval castle. The Storytellers in Residence project aimed to bring the castle back into community use and increase its profile outside the area. Using storytelling, patter, songs, events and games, historian Alan Steel and storyteller Gerry Durkin brought the castle back to life. This was a project by The Village Storytelling Centre in Pollok, Glasgow. http://www.thevillageonline.org.uk/ The video was filmed by Julie Dawid and Peter Gerard and edited by Peter Gerard. The music is by members of Belle & Sebastian. http://www.toomanycookes.co.uk
