I first heard Deva Premal while on a trip to Bimini swimming with wild dolphins through Wildquest. They played her cd's going out each day and coming back after a day of dolphin encounters. This mantra, in particular, has always been linked for me with memories of the loving energy embodied by these wise souls of the sea. As for the mantra, there are various translations, spellings and pronunciations. Very generally, the mantra opens the mind to love and compassion and leads it toward awakening....

The Vajra Guru (Padmasambhava) mantra Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum is favoured and held in esteem by sadhakas. Like most Sanskritic mantras in Tibet, the Tibetan pronunciation demonstrates dialectic variation and is generally Om Ah Hum Benza Guru Pema Siddhi Hung. In the Vajrayana traditions, particularly of the Nyingmapa, it is held to be a powerful mantra engendering communion with the Three Vajras of Padmasambhava's mindstream and by his grace, all enlightened beings....
