Cambalache's Tunnel: "Viaje Tren a la Tica" Puntarenas, Costa Rica
Description:
Travel from San Jose to Puntarenas made by train. It lies second in the district, San Juan Grande, as in the community of Cambalache. Monument of historical architectural heritage, through Executive Order No. 24083-C, February 1995. Opened on 12 November 1857, was called "Burrocarril" Cambalache's Tunnel is located at kilometer 87 with respect to San Jose. Edged was built with stone brought from areas near the site where it is. An approximate height of 7 meters and a width of about 4.5 meters at the mouth of the tunnel. His style is constructive and its arc length is 300 meters long.
