This is my earliest memory of steam, which we found on an old tape a few weeks ago. I was barely 6 years old when I was taken to see my first steam locomotive - which happened to be the world famous Flying Scotsman, albeit in her dark green British Railways livery. My father took the film of what was a defining moment in my life - when I knew I loved steam locomotives, and most importantly, that one! Look out for a very young Simon Martin calling out "there's a tunnel!" near the end....
