Both Jonesboro North & South are located in SE Atlanta, zone 3 on Jonesboro Rd. They are about 2/10 of a mile apart from each other. Jonesboro South has a rougher reputation. They were both under construction in 1970, no sure exactly what year they were completed but both were torn down in 2008.

Capitol Homes was built in 1940 and demolished in early 2005 or late 2004, anyway it was one of Atlanta's finest housing projects.
Dixie Hills apts- Atlanta, Georgia
These are the Dixie Hill apartments located in West Atlanta- zone 1. This is the first time I ever actually drove through this wonderful neighborhood infested with blight. Boarded up houses, houses crumbling to the ground and then these apartments. I am now a believer of Dixie Hills.
Palmer House Residents Speak About Demolition of Their Homes
Palmer House Senior Highrise in Atlanta, Georgia is yet another project that has been slated for demolition. The Atlanta Housing Authority has made claims that the building is beyond repair and is planning to issue Housing Choice vouchers to the residents that will be displaced, all of whom are senior citizens and some have other disabilities. We went and interviewed some of the residents to get their comments about their homes being taken from them.
