Footage from Sunday's Boscobel Battle. This was a very moving battle, one which then led into the final surrender at Appomattox Court house. In my raw footage of the battle you can actually hear the narrators voice cracking as the Confederate Army surrenders. I want to extend a thanks to all my fellow reenactors who did a wonderful job with this. I didn't have to edit out anyone getting back up after being shot, nor did I hear any modern day things being shouted.

Gettysburg Reenactment 2009-"Forward to the Round Tops" Infantry Battle
This is a large chunk of the infantry battle reenactment reenacted on the second day of the reenactment. This was filmed live in Gettysburg from the stands, so sorry if there are people or noises in the video. The Confederate soldiers are advancing upon the Union soldiers and fire erupts from the muskets. This is the bloody fighting in the Wheatfield. Cannon boom and horses clash in the background. Stupid Sword Fighting
Wooden swords with a bit of padding, plus some shields . . . what could go wrong? Oh yeah, the fact that we are swinging at each other really hard. Okay, now I know why it hurts. What can I say, we were pretty bored and there were all these fake homemade weapons laying around.

Glenview Civil War Days 2009
Video of the Glenview Civil War 2009 Reenactment. I tried my best to make a nice little video but most of my footage was ruined because a Union kid in red keeps getting up after he was shot and keeps fighting, only to be shot again, and then to get up again, all while only a few feet from the crowd and my camera. Take a step back in hostory to the year 1860. The Civil War Encampment at the Des Plaines Historic Methodist campground was performed on 8-8-2009. This event was opened to the public. Listed in '05 on The National Register of Historic Places, the Des Plaines Methodist campground is one of the oldest permanent sites in the United States. me shot in the stomach by union soldiers and taken to the field hospital to die. Not sure where the footage of me screaming and fighting with the surgeon is, but this is after he knocked me out.
Battle of New Market 2009 reenactment
Virginia Military Institute Cadets and reenactors recreate the final charge of the cadets at New Market, Virginia. The battle was won by the Confederacy and it's anniversary is marked every year at New Market.
