A group of Christian human rights missionaries, led by Michael Burnett and Sarah Miller, approach Rambo with the desire to rent his boat to travel up the river to Burma. For over fifty years, Burma has been like a war zone. The Karen people of the region, who consist of peasants and farmers, have endured brutally oppressive rule from the murderous Burmese military and have been struggling for survival every single day. This is the time when medical assistance and general support from the Christian missionaries is needed most. After some consideration, and due to insistence from his mentor, former military man Ed Baumgartner, Rambo accepts the offer and takes Michael, Sarah, and the rest of the missionaries up the river. When the missionaries finally arrive at the Karen village, they are ambushed by the sadistic Major Pa Tee Tint and a slew of Burmese army men. A portion of the villagers and missionaries are tortured and viciously murdered, while Tint and his men hold the remainder captive. News soon reaches the minister in charge of the mission and with the help of Ed Baumgartner he employs Rambo to lead a rescue effort. Origem: Banda formada no final de Setembro de 2004, por Marcos B. Garcia, em Ribeirão Preto / SP. A concretização de sua primeira formação se deu em Fevereiro de 2005. Origem do Nome: Seu nome foi inspirado na mitologia nordica, vampirismo e em um fato cotidiano (barreiras e obstáculos que são quebrados a cada instante por cada pessoa). Sua inspiração mescla-se com a guerra o que fez a aproximação de grandes histórias como o Senhor dos Anéis e Tróia se juntarem ao nome. Base Musical: A banda VarTroY tem como centro de sua base musical a banda Iron Maiden e ao seu redor bandas dentro do heavy metal tradicional, melódico, progressivo e hard rock. Dentre elas, encontram-se: Metal Church, Dream Theater, Savatage, Dr. Sin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Dave Matthews Band, Metallica, Scorpions, UFO, AC/DC, entre outras. A junção dessas influências, centrada em uma base Iron Maiden, consolidam o estilo da banda VarTroY. Músicos: Os músicos presentes possuem anos de carreira, passando por bares, festivais, participações, etc. Todos têm em sua base musical a banda Iron Maiden, o que propicia o estilo traçado pela banda, porém cada um segue uma vertente de heavy metal diferente, o que possibilita a diversidade que foi atribuida à banda. A postura profissional, fixada por cada um, vem possibilitando o crescimento progressivo e bem direcionado rumo ao objetivo da VarTroY.
