After coming home from work, I took my Sony handicam to the Meramec River area near the intersection of Highway W and FF, which is a couple miles south of Eureka. The river is expected to crest at just about 42 feet sometime Sat. morning, March 22, 2008. March 20, 2008 11 am central time I captured this video at Ferry and Main street Fenton which is located in St. Louis County. The Meramec River flows along the boundry of this town. If you look across the river you can see Minnie Ha Ha Park which is located in Sunset Hills. Highway 30 or Gravois is in the background. I was impressed with how fast the water was moving...And then you hear the water hitting the baks and realize that the water is rising. There were no boats on the river causing small waves or ripples it was the water rising in front of us.

Raging Flood Waters at Old Gravois Rd near Denny Dennis
Meramec Crested Today, March 22, 2008. This is the other side of the closed Old Gravois bridge. I'm standing on Denny Dennis' parking lot. At about 00:24 you can see a look out shelter across the river, that is Minnie Ha Ha Park located in Sunset Hills Missouri. Impressive!
