Title:
Iowa Floods of '08 - Road Damage

Description:
This video was shot by a few Iowa DOT Maintenance workers. After the flood waters had receded, they discovered that many of the roads that were inundated by the floods were no longer intact. Many hundreds of miles of Iowas infrastructure was affected by these floods included Interstate Highways, US Higways, State Highways, County Roads, as well as Rail lines, Rail Bridges and other bridges. This is a massive loss to the state of Iowa.

Des Moines Iowa Floods of 2008
Footage of the Des Moines river approaching interstate 80/35 around the North of end Des Moines. Much of what I am filming, is normally dry land. The footage is shaky because I am trying to film with one hand, and focus on drive with the other. No place for a tripod in a moving truck and yes I know I should not be multitasking while driving.
