When Mack & Mabel hit the public eye, one of the British tabloid newspapers commented on its 'Fred Astaire' qualities and got T&D to dress as Fred & Ginger for a photo shoot (on the ice). Intrigued by this, they decided to choreograph a number to go with it, though the outfits needed a bit of modification! |

I don't think they ever put a foot wrong or had a slip (much different from our Americans Blumberg and Seibert who were of similar quality). Ice dancing was changing, and free dance became much more emphasized....new ideas and new music appeared. This was the start of their WORLD DOMINATION. Commentator is Carol Heiss. |
