This is the city of Kettering, Ohio. The city is located in Montgomery and Greene Counties. Founded 1955 after the famous scientist Dr. Charles Franklin Kettering, The city incorporated in 1955 from the former Van Buren Township. Dayton's best suburb. Points of interest are located in Kettering: Kettering Medical Center, a large hospital that operates in the heart of the city. Grandview, Southview, Sycamore Hospitals are affiliated with the hospital. Delphi Corporation, the controversial automotive parts company that filed for bankruptcy a few years back. Reynolds and Reynolds, a major innovation center located in the Research Park area. (video posting will come shortly). GE Money, a credit card and purchasing center of General Electric. Intimate Brands an affiliate with Victoria's Secret. The Berry Company, now a subsidiary of Bellsouth, is one of the largest publishers of Yellow Pages directories and maintains its division headquarters in Kettering. Town & Country Center is a local shopping mall that host many of the potential lifestyle businesses and luxury accommodations. The Greene is a upscale outdoor mall located in the city of Beavercreek and parts of Kettering. There are many golf courses, the Moraine Farms, Patterson Homestead, Calvary Cemetery, Carillon Historic Park, Indian Riffle Park, Kettering Recreation Center and State Farm Park in the city of Kettering Ohio. And mostly Ohio in general. I am giving those who have never been to Dayton a chance to understand the plight of manufacturing communities. So that will put to rest any questions of why I titled the videos!
