Emerald Coast Volleyball Week (April 22nd - 26th, 2009) Each spring a large group of friends from Arkansas travel from Little Rock to Fort Walton Beach to participate in the Emerald Coast Volleyball Week. We mainly go to play in the Fudpucker 4 Player tournament, but some of us try the other things like Doubles and Best of the Beach, and Robbie and Stephanies son (Justin) played in the Kid of the Beach. The best volleyball I saw was a doubles game being played by some really good girl players: Maria Schuller (from Portugal who played in the 2000 Olympics), Chestnut Liverpool and Tracy Blair (who both play on the EVP tour) and Suzanne Walker. They were just playing for fun and were on the beach early to get their sand legs before kicking butt in the Fudpuckers Fours Tournament. The players party was at The Swamp with music provided by the Last 2 Leave band. The Finals were Sunday afternoon, but my team was done and we headed for home.
