On Thursday June 25th at about 1245 pm we were travelling north on Putnam Road about 2 km north of Avon Ontario when we spotted these sister tornados about 2 km wnw of Avon. We rushed home in Avon for our camera and began to film what will be recorded in history by Environment Canada as an F2 tornado, one of the strongest in Ontario in years. About the Storm Chasers:We are 2 Flight Service Specialists working at the London Flight Information Center in London, Ontario. We have over 30 years combined experience in observing, reporting, monitoring and briefing weather to both commercial and recreational pilots.

A day of widespread severe weather resulted in numerous tornado sightings and two confirmed tornados, one F1 and another, the one I saw a F2. My chase began around 12:45 pm, I decided to stay between two areas of interest costing me an upclose view of the tornado but it was so unexpected. Tornados All Over Ontario, Canada. Aug 20, 09.
There was a huge tornado about an hour ago. One person died and several trees fell, cars were moving by themselves AND houses were damaged. This is a clip i caught from my window. You can't see much, but you can see the heavy winds and trees whooshing. :) Yesterday, i actually visited the 2 main locations where the houses were damaged.
