Meg says it's all the same thing: Herc things he's done being a hero, and Phil thinks it's all in his head. Goofy says they know Hercules is a hero, then hear Hades' voice. He comes in and ask why he's moping on such a day. The Underdrome is open again, and the fans want to see a true hero. He tells Hercules if he's not up to that, he could always...lose, and Sora shouts out Hades like that. Hades claims he's not selfish like the ones on Olympus, he stands for the masses. He shouts out that the games are back, and Hades himself is bring the ultimate games for the reopening of the Underdrome. Whoever wins the games gets the title of 'Ultimate Hero', reigning supreme of the Hades Cup. He also assures that Hercules will be there...unless he never wants to see Meg again, then leaves. With Sora and Hercules forced to enter the cup, they enter the first round. When Donald looks at the tournament board, he sees Auron as well, and they may have to fight him in the last round. Hercules thinks that Auron is a real hero, and he's still just a washout, but everyone else tells him to stop saying that. Then they take on the first round of enemies, and Hercules feels like he dragged them down, but Sora reassures they need him in the next round. They all take on those enemies as well and defeat them. With the finals ahead, Donald looks forward to being real heroes. Hercules sees Auron in the distance, and says he's their final opponent. Sora calls out to him, but Auron acts like he doesn't know them at all. He wants to defeat them and atone for crimes. Sora doesn't understand why Auron is acting that way, so they follow behind him and see him talking with Hades. Auron tells Hades that his crime is simply existing, and it is inexcuseable. Hades says that he can overlook that if Auron does his part of the deal, which is defeat Hercules. Hades says to also beat his meddling friends, but Auron tells him only Hercules. Hades then places his hand onto Auron's shoulder, then pulls out a statue of him and draws power from it to make Auron understand that he must also defeat Sora and the others. He then commands Auron to go, and Sora realizes that's how Auron is being controlled: by the statue. Sora hurries to stop Auron, but he already left. Hercules asks what's wrong, and Sora tells about how Hades is controlling Auron with a statue. That sounds familiar to Hercules, and he says that the statue is holdng Auron's free will, then tells them to go find the statue. Hades comes in and tells them they have a big match and can't be leaving. Hercules offers to take on Auron alone to buy Sora and the rest time, and Hades agrees to it...if whoever wins battles with Sora, Donald and Goofy in one last fight. Hades then takes Hercules to the Underdrome as Sora and the rest head into the Underworld to find the statue.
