On November 2nd, 2008, the Avett Brothers, those venerable sons of NC, performed for a full house at Memorial Hall on UNC Chapel Hill campus. The crowd was eager to hear whatever the band brought forth, songs old and new. "Go to Sleep," from their 2007 release 'Emotionalism,' is an obvious crowd favorite. Appalachian Trail Thru-Hike- 1994
During the spring and summer of 1994 I spent 152 days and 5 million steps on my first thru-hike of a major trail. It was an experience that I will cherish forever and I'm grateful to have made it all the way while meeting some of the greatest people in my life.
