A Classic at Work - Canadian Pacific GP9 No. 1513
Canadian Pacific GP9 No. 1513 hard at work switching at Shoreham Yard in Minneapolis. This unit was built by GMD in 1955 as No. 8512, and was rebuilt and renumbered as 1513 in 1980. It has been assigned to the Twin Cities for several years, and was recently leased for a few months to local short line TC&W. It's now back working on CP property. It's a good sounding, hard working locomotive. There aren't very many gp9s still running on Class 1s these days.

Railfanning the Canadian Pacific Watertown Subdivision, everything is heading east. First is a manifest powered by ES44AC CP 8884 and AC4400CW 8532. On the other side of the same crossing, we see another freight led by an all-EMD lashup. SD40-2s CP 5729, 5750 and 6043, as well as Soo Line GP38-2 4438 power this one. Moving a few miles east down the line to Doylestown, the next catch is an unusually short Amtrak #8 highballing through. Video by my dad.
Canadian Pacific Railway AC4400CW and SD40-2 - Merrickville Ontario
CP 233, led by AC4400CW 9724 and SD40-2 5755, crosses the rideau river on a huge bridge, then skirts the northern edge of the town of Merrickville as it heads west to Smiths Falls. final destination, Toronto. Mile 114.80 CP Winchester Subdivision.
CP MoW Equipment and Train 199 near Lewiston 11/3/2008
First we see a couple of mow vehicles near Portage. Then Train 199, westbound intermodal/autorack, crosses Weyh Road at Lewiston behind four ac4400cws. They are CP 9784, 9637, 9738, and 9781. Video by my dad.

Milwaukee Road 261 Excursions & Other Action on the CP Main 8/16/2008 Part 1
On Saturday and Sunday, August 16 and 17, 2008; Milwaukee Road alco S3 4-8-4 No. 261 ran excursions from Milwaukee to Wisconsin Dells. Then the train ran to New Lisbon to turn on the wye formed by the junction with the CN Valley Subdivision, and returned to Milwaukee. I finally caught up to the train as it was pulling onto the Valley Sub for the wye move at New Lisbon, after playing catch-up all the way from Portage. Trio of BNSF MACs Running Light Back to Portage Yard 6/3/2009
sd70macs BNSF 9517, 8869 and 8878 have just dropped off a loaded coal train (#882) at the Columbia Power Plant, and are now returning to the yard via Portage Junction on the east side of town. Video by my dad.
