i went to Mexico Monday 11 / 2 / 09 the Day of the Dead as an important part of the Mexican history and their celebration of lost family members and friends. It is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd, in conjunction with the Catholic Holy Days of All Saints Day and All Souls Day. The day of the dead is an important celebration in Mexican history, and has roots dating back thousands of years to an Aztec Festival dedicated to a goddess called Mictecacihuatl.  | DAY of the DEAD in Los Cabos This time we went to check out the incredible display of altars to the dead at Plaza Mijares (San José del Cabo´s main square) due to the annual Día de Muertos celebration, commemorated in Mexico and other Latin American countries on Nov. 1 & 2.
