Ar-Rum: The Roman Alif. Lam. Mim. The Roman have been defeated in the lowest land, and they, after their defeat will be victorious within some years—God's is the command in the former case and in the later—and in that day believers will be pleased about. In God's help to victory. He helps to victory anyone He wills. He is the Mighty, the Merciful. It is a promise of God. God change not His promise, but most of people know not. They know only some appearance of the life of the world, and are careless of the Hereafter. Have they not pondered (think about) upon themselves? God not created the heavens and the earth, and that which is between them, except with truth and for a destined and but truly many of people are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord............?....!... Corruption does appear on land and sea because of (the evil) which men's hands have done, that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return. Say : travel in the land, and see the nature of the consequence for those who were before you! Most of them were Polytheists (people not believing in God)........................................................
