Hoover Dam
Hoover Dam, also known as Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the US states of Arizona and Nevada. When completed in 1935, it was both the world's largest electric power producing facility and the world's largest concrete structure. It was surpassed in both respects by the Grand Coulee Dam in 1945. It is currently the world's 34th largest hydroelectric generating station.

I took my 1968 Olds 442 with the factory hurst 4-speed and Robert with his 1973 340 Duster drove to the dry lake just past railroad pass about 8 miles from Boulder City Nevada and goofed off for a while. Yes I was freaking out!! That's Olivia landing behind me at 4:19 in the video! In case you're wondering why the guy keeps tapping me as we're free-falling, it's because we were trained beforehand to extend our arms outward when he tapped, but I was still in such total shock that I was falling at 120mph toward the Earth that I just kinda froze :) Good thing Mike was on my back to wrestle me out of King Tut position!

These are a series of video clips that I took when some friends of mine and I visited the Hoover Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant back on December 28, 2008. Hoover Dam is located at Lake Mead at the Arizona and Nevada State line and just East of Las Vegas on US Highway 93.
