Loco 66135 sits on a ballast train between Aldridge and Rushall on the Sutton Park line, West Midlands, earlier today. A road-railer is being used to offload ballast hoppers, and also to dig channels for pipes. Sunday 15th February 2009.
Mid-City Scrap vs G&U Trailer
With something new happening on the G&U almost every day, its always worth it to drive by the North Grafton depot. On Thursday June 5, 2008 I drove by right as the Mid-City Scrap excavator was about to tear into one of the nine G&U trailers being scrapped. The Gradall was torn appart earlier that day.
G&U Switching at North Grafton Depot
On a rainy Wednesday morning, I was driving by Washington Mills and noticed the Alco missing from its usual parking spot. Traveling down to the depot I caught a rare glimpse of it switching cars. The Mid-City Scrap excavator can be seen to the left, a sign of a revitalizing railroad.
