Title:
Worst Song Evaaaar

Description:
I decided to be a smart ass, and try to put together quite possibly the worst song ever created. Deep philosophical musical explanation: This song contains several elements not commonly seen in western music. It contains minor seconds, tritones, diminished chords, and is very atonal. It lacks consonance, therefore giving an eerie feeling, as if it were to be used in a horror movie. The chordal dissonance generates a feeling of unease, and unsettled emotion. Therefore, the musicality, if you can even argue that there is any, is practically non-existent. The dissonance leads up to a picardy third (which means it ended in a major chord) therefore resolving the tension that the picardy third had built up. The reason for creating this song was in opposition of what we commonly associate with "good music." It goes into epistemology, specifically the coherence theory. The reason why our perception of consonance is the way it is, is because of our prior knowledge. In western culture, we are used to a certain sound, and therefore, consider that to have a good sound. However, in other cultures, it is less unusual to see diminished chords and minor seconds used, and in those cultures, this is considered to sound good. The coherence theory would state that because we have heard the sounds our whole lives, that is what we will like, and what we will consider to have better consonance (or, the good-soundingness of a song.) This piece rebels against what we know, it rebels against what we have hear in music. In fact, the tritones, also nicknamed "devil's tritones", were banned in music during medieval and Renaissance times by the catholic church. This is because it was associated with satanic and a symbolism of evil in music. Though it is typically avoided, some composers have been able to incorporate it into songs well. Also, I had used much higher frequencies than typically used in music, ranging up to 18500 Hz, which is usually not audible to those whose ages are older than their mid-twenties. In conclusion, MUAHUAHUAHAUAHAUHAUAHUA WOOOOOO MAUHUAHAUAHUAHAUAH WEEEEEEEE MHAUHAUAUAHUA. I mean, um...this song completely tests every aspect of what we would like to consider "music", and therefore pushes the study of music theory to new heights. If only I put this much effort into my schoolwork... "I did it for the lolz."

Chopin Etude Op.10 no.6 (Pollini)
Étude Op.10, No.6 is a technical study composed by Frédéric Chopin for solo piano. Written in E-flat minor, this étude focuses on enhancing phrasing and melodic structure through difficult passages with many accidentals. The tempo Andante indicates a moderate playing speed. The phrasing and accidentals make this étude musically challenging to play. - Structure - The étude's counterpoint remain constant throughout, with three distinct voices: melody, harmony, and bass. The first voice, melody, presents the melody of the piece. The second voice, harmony, maintains the same rhythmic pattern throughout, a constant wave of sixteenth notes. The third voice is the bass, and grounds each measure into a specific chord. As a whole, the work is strictly structured into three parts, the first theme, a second theme, and the coda. The first theme is presented in E-flat minor, and passes through a short section in E major, which develops into the second theme. At this point the dynamics have built up to a forte, and the second theme contains the climax of the piece. In the coda, the music returns to the first theme and closes with a Picardy third, in E-flat major. (Played by Maurizio Pollini)
The Beatles - And I Love Her
The Beatles - And I Love Her Copyright - 1964 EMI Records Ltd. "And I Love Her" is a song by The Beatles and is the fifth track on their third album, A Hard Day's Night. It was released 20 July 1964 with "If I Fell" as a single by Capitol Records in the United States, reaching #12 in Billboard. Composition This song was one of the first ballads with a title that starts in mid-sentence. Paul McCartney was pleased with himself that he came up with this clever idea. A majority of this song switches back and forth between the key of E and its relative minor C#m. It also changes keys altogether just before the solo, to F. It ends, oddly, on the parallel major of the key of F's relative minor, D. (This device is called a Picardy third.) The song was written mainly by McCartney, though John Lennon claimed in an interview with Playboy that his major contribution was the "middle eight" section ("A love like ours/Could never die/As long as I/Have you near me"). Beatles publisher Dick James lends support to this claim, saying that the middle eight was added during recording at the suggestion of producer George Martin. According to James, Lennon called for a break and "within half an hour [Lennon and McCartney] wrote...a very constructive middle to a very commercial song." McCartney, on the other hand, maintains that "the middle eight is mine.... I wrote this on my own." Releases Different edits of this song have been released throughout the world; these differ in the number of times the closing guitar riff is repeated, and in McCartney's lead vocal being single- or double-tracked in the main verses of the song. Covers As with many Beatles songs, this has been covered by many artists of varying style from RnB, Crooner, Pop and even Grunge. It was translated into a power ballad - of sorts - by Australia's John Farnham, on his Anthology #2: The Classic Hits album. Roberto Carlos made a cover, (Eu) Te Amo, in Portuguese and later in Spanish. Esther Phillips reversed the gender of the song in 1965; her "And I Love Him" reached #54 that year on the Billboard charts. In 1972, Bobby Womack covered the song for his hit album "Understanding". In 2006, Barry Manilow covered the song for his The Greatest Songs of the Sixties. Also covered by The Wailers at Studio One in 1965. "And I Love Her" was slated to appear briefly in Across the Universe, with only its second refrain partially sung by Martin Luther McCoy, but it was removed during editing. It appears as a deleted scene on the DVD. It did, however, appear for a small section in the orchestral scoring of the movie. Lyrics: I give her all my love That's all I do And if you saw my love You'd love her too I love her She gives me everything And tenderly The kiss my lover brings She brings to me And I love her A love like ours Could never die As long as I Have you near me Bright are the stars that shine Dark is the sky I know this love of mine will never die And I love her Bright are the stars that shine Dark is the sky I know this love of mine will never die And I love her, ooh
is your child a goth?
i found this rant while tooling around the internet thought it was funny and put it to music. Enjoy If Your Child is a Gothic, Reform Through the Lord! Listed below are some warning signs to indicate if your child may have gone astray from the Lord. Gothic (or goth) is a very obscure and often dangerous culture that young teenagers are prone to participating in. The gothic culture leads young, susceptible minds into an imagined world of evil, darkness, and violence. Please seek immediate attention through counselling, prayer, and parental guidance to rid your child of Satan's temptations if five or more of the following are applicable to your child: * Frequently wears black clothing. * Wears band and/or rock t-shirts. * Wears excessive black eye makeup, lipstick or nailpolish. * Wears any odd, silver jewelry or symbols. Some of these include: reversed crosses, pentagrams, pentacles, ankhs or various other Satanic worshipping symbols. * Shows an interest in piercings or tattoos. * Listens to gothic or any other anti-social genres of music. (Marilyn Manson claims to be the anti-Christ, and publicly speaks against the Lord. Please discard any such albums IMMEDIATELY.) * Associates with other people that dress, act or speak eccentrically. * Shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such as: the Bible, prayer, church or sports. * Shows an increasing interest in death, vampires, magic, the occult, witchcraft or anything else that involves Satan. * Takes drugs. * Drinks alcohol. * Is suicidal and/or depressed. * Cuts, burns or partakes in any other method of self-mutilation. (This is a Satanic ritual that uses pain to detract from the light of God and His love. Please seek immediate attention for this at your local mental health center.) * Complains of boredom. * Sleeps too excessively or too little. * Is excessively awake during the night. * Dislikes sunlight or any other form of light. (This pertains to vampires promoting the idea that His light is of no use.) * Demands an unusual amount of privacy. * Spends large amounts of time alone. * Requests time alone and quietness. (This is so that your child may speak to evil sprits through meditation.) * Insists on spending time with friends while unaccompanied by an adult. * Disregards authority figures; teachers, priests, nuns and elders are but a few examples of this. * Misbehaves at school. * Misbehaves at home. * Eats goth-related foods. Count Dracula cereal is an example of this. * Drinks blood or expresses an interest in drinking blood. (Vampires believe this is how to attain Satan. This act is very dangerous and should be stopped immediately.) * Watches cable television or any other corrupted media sources. (Ask your local church for proper programs that your child may watch.) * Plays videos games that contains violence or role-playing nature. * Uses the internet excessively and frequently makes time for the computer. * Makes Satanic symbols and/or violently shakes head to music. * Dances to music in a provocative or sexual manner. * Expresses an interest in sex. * Masturbates * Is homosexual and/or bisexual. * Pursues dangerous cult religions. Such include: Satanism, Scientology, Philosophy, Paganism, Wicca, Hinduism and Buddhism.-Wears pins, stickers or anything else that contains these various phrases: "I'm so gothic, I'm dead", "woe is me", "I'm a goth". * Claims to be a goth. If five or more of these apply to your child, please intervene immediately. The gothic culture is dangerous and Satan thrives within it. If any of these problems persist, enlist your child into your local mental health center. ~ St. Mary's Catholic Church

Atonal Space (dissonance ahead!)
Come with me and let's go to outer space where no gravity is, and we will use Atonal music with no "gravity" toward any given key. We will travel into the depths of space and observe some of the handiwork of the Creator. The Atonal Space composition, I had composed back in 1988, when 25 years old, a time when I was studying music at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Atonality, music having no tonal center or key, brought forth by an ordered musical system, was fascinating to me. Just following the guidelines to achieve this "absence of gravity" in music will result in Atonality. This system was uncovered by Arnold Schoenberg, a composer from the early 1900's. I hope you will enjoy and appreciate the voyage we will embark upon. Perhaps it will stimulate your thinking in some ways. For me it brings to mind the vastness and depth of the universe. Much like the notes in an Atonal work, so are the planets in their alignment in orbit around the sun. Ordered in such a precise fashion the make life possible on earth where there is gravity. The tone row of musical notes for this composition are: C, G#, E, Bb, A, F, C#, D, F#, G, B, D#. In creating, this row of notes, dissonance is recommended from one note to the next if possible, although a major or minor third may sometimes be present if so desired, but definitely not two major thirds in a row. Most photos seen in this video are photographed by the hubble space telescope, which I am sure some of my tax dollars, somewhere along the line, helped make possible. Well, the photos are breathtaking and inspiring. Someday when we are not anchored down in our physical bodies we can travel beyond the sights of even the hubble telescope. It has to be endless out there would you say? Makes me think of the great vastness of the Creator, and we humans try to put Him in a little package and say here, this is the way it is. Oh how little we see or understand. Thanks for checking this video out.
