I am sharing with you a story that I wrote depicting my plans for the future. The book that got me started on this is: "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. My Story: I am currently living in North Hollywood, CA. I moved here after being hired full-time by Pacific Clinics as a Mental Health Worker. I feel very fortunate that my BA degree, along with my volunteer hours with NAMI as a class co-leader, and the Mental Health Worker training program that I participated in through this employer afte hire, allowed me to step into this role with ease. I am living in a one-bedroom apartment that is a very nice 720 square feet. My cat loves to lay around in the living room and watch me prepare meals in the kitchen. She can be a bit mischievous, but she hasn't done anything to the carpeted floors yet, thankfully. Though I love my 1997 Saturn, I decided that I needed to buy a newer car with less mileage, so I opted for a 2007 Toyota RAV4. I sold my Saturn to someone who had plans to change out its engine, but who loves the car, itself. he gave me 2,100.00 for it, the Kelly Blue Book value. I used part of this money as a down payment on my Toyota RAV4. I love this car! It's so cute! I have wanted one of these for a very long time now. I would have preferred a hybrid version, but they don't have one yet. I also want to buy a scooter/motorcyle at some point... In my very spare time, I like to volunteer with a local soup kitchen that feeds the hungry in downtown Los Angeles. I feel so good while I'm doing this. I also like to travel. I went to visit my brother's family last month in Oklahoma over a long weekend holiday. I plan to visit my dad and step mom in about two months for Easter. I am really loving the area! There is so much to do and see. I am a member of three groups on Meetup.com that I participate in regularly. I have made a number of friends who have interests similar to my own, and I think a couple of the guys in these groups might be interested in me :).
