A slide show (with embedded video) of a walk on and along the Missouri River at Gavins Point (including the nature trail) in the Lewis and Clark Recreation Area, near Yankton, South Dakota. The river (Lewis and Clark Lake) was frozen over (but you could hear it creaking and groaning every now and then). The bluffs/cliffs were interesting and a bit dangerous. The video includes an encounter with eight wild turkeys. But I did not encounter any people on the river or on the trail. Too cold ...
