Don't you just hate homework on the weekend's? I do. ----------------- (Brenna's POV) "I brought chocolate syrup and brownies and cookies and chips and peanut butter and-" "Brenna!" Brandi cut me off. I was walking up to her room with a bag of food in one hand and a suitcase in the other. I was staying over for the night, and tomorrow Kevin, Nick, and Joe (sigh) would pick us up before heading to San Diego and getting Mel. Of course I brought all the necessary foods for a sleepover. I couldn't believe we were going on vacation with the Jonas Brothers! This was going to be amazing, especially since I was going to be able to spend more time with Joe. I was happy that Mel was coming, cause I wanted to get to know her better. And how sweet was it that Nick invited her little sister along too? (A.N. We know its not that sweet....) Brandi and I eventually fell asleep after whispering in her room for hours into the night. I knew I was having this really good dream, but when I woke up it faded from the corners of my mind. It was only 5 in the morning, and the two of us were exhausted from staying up so late, but we found the energy to run around and grab additional garments we wanted to take with us. "Did you get Kevin a Christmas present?" I asked Brandi as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She nodded. "Did you get something for Joe?" "Duh! How could I not?" "Sorry!" she exclaimed sarcastically. I smiled and grabbed one of Brandi's swimsuits. "Brandi, you totally have to bring this! Kevin woulf totally be all over you in this!" Her nose crinkled in distaste. "Why do you think I never wear that to the beach? My aunt who thinks I'm some slut got that for me." "Well you need to call and thank her when you see Kevin's reaction to you in this." I tossed it in her suitcase and zipped it up. "And if you don't wear it, I can always 'borrow' it." Brandi rolled her eyes, and we lugged our suitcases down the stairs. Carter was awake and in a bad mood because of it. I didn't blame him. I could use some more sleep as well. "After they leave, I'm going to bed," he said with a grump. Brandi's father glared at his daughter. "Now this "Kevin's" parents are going to be there, right?" Brandi sighed in exasperation while I tried not to laugh. "Yes dad! Stop worrying about me. I'm almost an adult you know." "That's exactly what I'm worried about," he muttered. Brandi snatched a piece of toast angrily off the table. There was a knock on the door, and I skipped gleefully off to answer it. I flung the wood door open, a giant smile on my face. There he was. The boy who I hadn't stopped thinking about for over a week. "Hi Brenna!" Joe exclaimed happily, and he hugged me. I didn't want to let go, but Kevin appeared behind his brother. "You two ready?" he asked. I nodded, but Kevin was no longer looking at me. Brandi had walked into the hall with her suitcase, and Kevin only had eyes for her. Joe noticed and did the cuckoo motion at Kevin. "Brenna, I'm not getting your bag for you," Brandi told me as she struggled to move her own heavy one. Kevin immediately went to help take it to the car. "Come on. I'll help you," Joe said. Excitement was evident in his face. "I can't wait until we get there!" he exclaimed suddenly. I laughed as together we picked up my bag and started dragging it outside. "Are you still not going to tell me where we are going?" Joe just smiled as he zipped his mouth shut and threw away the key.
