AstroLand commercial
Astroland got a reprieve from destruction and is supposed to operate for one more Summer season in 2008. I was there in 2007 and it was jumpin, plenty of business. I believe major development plans for the boardwalk have no place for Astroland, sad. This spot for the amusement park in Coney Island is from around 1980.

Jerry's Disco: 'That's the Story!!!"
"What's the story, Jerry?" was the start of the catch phrase for these well-loved NY commercials ... In the mid-1970's, Jerry Rosenberg, a pot-bellied man in a hardhat, enthusiastically plugs his JGE (Jamaica Gas & Electric) appliances stores. JGE didn't last, so after that venture Jerry got into the disco business using the same 'That's the story!!!' formula.
