Early Tuesday morning, May 8th, Almost an entire city block in downtown Crawfordsville, IN burned to the ground. Tommy's Silver Dollar bar, was the most well-known victim, but several other businesses and apartments burned. Also, one man died in the blaze.

Fire on July 2, 2008. The fire destroyed a Pet store and all the animals, a fireworks store and a tax business. I watched nearly every minute of it, since I was forced to leave my home for nearly six hours.

Old Jail Museum, Rotary Jail
The Old Jail Museum in Crawfordsville, IN is to my knowledge the ONLY working Rotary Jail in existence. The design was brilliant and unique but unsafe, causing great injury and posing a deadly fire-hazard. The jail was abandoned then turned into a museum. The nice tour-guide turned the cell block for us several times (I didn't get his name, but thank you very much) while we filmed from above and below the turntable. Visiting the jail is truly a unique experience.

Train was 124 cars, led by BNSF 1102 (C44-9W), followed by CSX 8776 (SD60M), CSX 2638 (GP38-2), CSX 1534 (GP15-1), and CSX 1513 (GP15T). The Crawfordsville Branch Sub is old P&E trackage that now ends in Crawfordsville, but used to run to Peoria, IL.
