Hootenanny Singers "500 Miles"
Here is an unreleased song by the boys, the old folk chestnut, "500 miles". The Swedish version was a hit for the boys, "Så länge du älskar är du ung". Enjoy some autogrammed items from my collection while you listen.

Hootenanny Singers Lincolnvisan & This land is your land
The Hootenanny Singers live with Lars "Frosse" Frosterud. Considering the lovely Swedish songs the boys were performing at this time, like "Körsbär utan kärnor", it is a shame that they wasted their talents "caterwauling" in English on this song. The boys did not speak English good at this time, and even in future recordings their English songs leave much to be desired. Notice the boys "Gabrielle" shirts that they are wearing. Enjoy these two seldom heard songs by the boys.
Där skall jag bo (Hootenanny Singers - featuring Björn)
In 1965 Björn of ABBA and his band Hootenanny Singers performed on Swedish TV with a song called "Där skall jag bo". Björn played the banjo on this song for a change. More info can be read on ABBAonTV www.abbaontv.com/1969%20and%20before/description-hootenanny-singers5.html ......................................
Hootenanny Singers - Lev som du lär (Stand by your man) *stereo
the Hootz doing a swedish version of 'Stand by your man' from the album På tre man hand (1969). Lyrics: We carry with us hopes and illusions We want to see the world re-new An end to all wars We all hope for better times That's how you imagined it could be Allthough we all know We need each other How do we live? We should all start to live Like we once were taught Yes, imagine that Live as you have learned We will all walk down that one true road together one day Live as you have learned Of all great wonders on earth Love is the greatest one Live as you have learned Live as you have learned Even if your road is tough It could lead you up to heaven Live as you have learned [thank you Shay for the help!]

Hootenanny Singers - Marianne. Enjoy :-D Lyrics and translations of the song: SWEDISH: "MARIANNE Marianne, och vi skulle bara se Marianne, skulle blott se henne le Vita tänder, lingult hår Fyller sjutton nu i år Än har ingen gett dig ringen, Marianne Marianne, jag vet ingen lika fin Marianne, lika söt och feminin Blotta namnet är musik Du är ingen annan lik Ingen annan har den pannan, Marianne Marianne, Marianne Marianne Marianne, vem skall bli din hjärtekung Marianne, du är lycklig du är ung Kanske blomma vårar än Innan du skall finna den Finna vännen ibland männen, Marianne Marianne, får du nånsin bryderi Marianne, kom till mig jag står dig bi Kan du ej bestämma dig Kom och gift dig då med mig Jag är bäste, känner prästen, Marianne Marianne, Marianne Marianne Tack till Torbjörn" ENGLISH: "MARIANNE Marianne, and we only had to see Marianne, and we were only going to see her laugh White teeth, yellow hair Turning 17 now this year And yet nobody has given you 'the ring', Marianne Marianne, I know nobody as fine Marianne, as sweet and feminin The name is like music You do not look like anybody els Nobody has that forehead, Marianne Marianne, Marianne Marianne Marianne, who shall be your heart-king (Lover boy) Marianne, you are you are happy you are young Maybe are the flowers going to bloom Before you find it Find the friend (loverboy) around guys, Marianne I am best, know the prest, Marianne Marianne, Marianne Marianne Thanks to Torbjörn Marianne" Translated by Swissprincess1974 (me) ;-)
Hootenanny Singers (Björn) - Omkring tiggarn' från Luossa (translated)
STEREO: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ldd9fy7URuU&fmt=18 Enjoy this fab Hootz song. (a big hit for them in 1972-73 - 52 weeks on the Svensktoppen chart, a record that was held until 1990.) the song was produced by Björn and Benny. Björn is singing solo and Benny is playing the piano. I've tried my best to translate this beautiful poem by Dan Andersson. Disclaimer: no copyright infringement intended, it is for non-profit purposes only. The Washington Squares - Greenback Dollar
Lauren Agnelli, Tom Goodkind, Bruce Paskow, with Billy Ficca on percussion perform this live version of Hoyt Axton's song from their 2nd album,Fair and Square. Recorded in Maine, April of 1987 for their first album tour.
Dick Dale (sans guitar): Greenback Dollar
It's time-coded and cuts off abruptly before it's finished, but I can't find it elsewhere on YouTube, so I'll put it up as it is. Not sure where (or when) this concert took place -- I've heard Harmon Park and San Francisco mentioned. During the performance Dale played drums, saxophone, guitar of course, and in this clip nothing at all. A tip of the hat to Hoyt Axton, who wrote Greenback Dollar.
The Hootenanny Trio: Halitulijallaa
Finnish traditional folk music. Title means nothing :)
