Description:
Starts at the Fryeburg Fair Grounds and ends in in Bethel, Maine. Drive goes through the White Mountain National Forest on state route 113. This drive to Bethel takes an hour and it will take you an hour to get back to the fair, but it is a recommended drive to see Maine fall foliage. This was done on Sept. 25th, 2007 around Noon. The foliage is just getting going in this area, as it has been dry. Temperature outside on this drive varied between 85 degrees in Bethel to 70 degrees at the highest point on route 113.

Fryeburg Fair 2007 -- Horse Pull
My family and I were vacationing in New England and we just happened to be in town for the Fryburg Fair (in Maine). I'd never seen a horse pull before, nor been to a county fair for that matter so I thought it'd be exciting to watch. All I can say is WOW, such power! The sleds are 3000+lbs of concrete. You can get an idea of how heavy they are when you see the tractor reset the sled. Unfortunately, the camera microphone couldn't pick up the chest-resonating thud when the horses connected ...

Just outside of town, close to the Sunday River Ski Resort, is a covered wooden bridge that dates from ...

drive to work (time-lapse) hit the lights remix
This is a test of my computer's time-lapse function. Made with imovie HD and the built-in isight camera set to take 1 image for every 4 frames of video. Compressed with quicktime and playback at 15 frames/sec. This version uses much less compression than mp4 but has the same crappy pixelation. (Why, people, why?) Metallica soundtrack.
