Montgomery versus Wetumpka Alabama

I used to live in Montgomery. Lived there for near 10 years. A few years ago I was fortunate enough to find a nice home in a nice neighborhood in Wetumpka. And we really love it here. We took a stroll to the little park by the river in Wetumpka... there is also a boat ramp there, and I was so inspired by all the work they did on the park that I made this little video. Wetumpka is far enough away from Montgomery for it to be quiet and feel like the country, yet close enough that you can still run to the grocery store, the movies, or dinner for a night out. And you can get there in 20 or 25 minutes. The downtown district is quaint and being restored, there is great fishing, and the people are friendly. And the best part is that the sales tax is 6.5%! Well, that isnt the BEST part, but it is one of many great things about Wetumpka, including the free 'lock diving' as seen in the last part of the video. Unfortunately, there is no place to do this in Montgomery that is in a safe neighborhood :( so come to Wetumpka for some lock jumping! :)
