Amtrak #7 Detour in Prairie du Chien 6-10-08
Description:
Due to flooding near Reesville, WI, Amtrak was forced to reroute the Empire Builder. June 10th was day one of detours on the BNSF. They detoured for a few days until BNSF no longer allowed Amtrak to use this route as BNSF had its own detours and flooding problems. GE P42DC's 184 + 21 12 Superliner cars instead of the normal 11.
