LexTreks: Wineries of Lexington and the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky
Description:
Over 200 years ago, Jean Jacques Dufour chose a fertile slope in a bend of the Kentucky River and established the first commercial wine grape operation in the United States. The mild climate and mineral-rich soil that attracted Dufour to the Bluegrass are inspiring a new generation of growers to try their hand at viticulture. Today, there are eight wineries located in Lexington's Bluegrass Region. Each with many unique selections to choose from.
