Moraine View State Park playground tour
I was at Moraine View State Park in leroy, IL, and I saw this playground. Since no one was around, I started filming it. This dated playground was built by Iron Mountain Forge, which I found out after some research, was bought by Rubbermaid in 1993, and changed it's name to Little Tikes Commercial (although IMF still exists as a non-playground business of LTC). I will probably do more of these if I can, but due to personal issues, I'll only do it if no one else is around. Filmed: 03/14/09 ENJOY!...

During the warm months, there has been music each Friday at Kickapoo Landing in Kickapoo State Park near Danville, Illinois. Each year, the season has ended with a closing jam session. This year's may be the last, as the governor of Illinois is planning to close this state park (and ten others).

Why is parkland closed to the public? Look in Jamesport.
Jamesport State Park is a classic example of parkland, purchased by the state for it's preservation and enjoyment, yet it is closed to the public. News reports have said that anyone caught "visiting" the park will be given a $220 tresspassing ticket. How arcane is that? How about needing a permit to access many other state lands. Or National Wildlife refuges, such as Wertheim in Shirley, where you are only allowed in 1/3 of the park. Dont even think of going in on Old Barto road...almost got ...
