WSPA Funded Kund Park Bear Sanctuary
In rural Pakistan, up to 2000 spectators will assemble to watch a tethered and clawless bear set upon trained fighting dogs. The World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) in partnership with a local member society has helped to dramatically reduce the number of bear baiting events in recent years. They also worked together to build the Kund Park Bear Sanctuary, providing a home for confiscated bears.

FOUR PAWS - rescue of serbian dancing bears delayed
For almost a year, FOUR PAWS has been campaigning to rescue the three remaining Serbian dancing bears. The transfer of the bears to the dancing bear sanctuary in Belitsa, Bulgaria, was due to happen towards the end of this year. At the last moment, the Serbian government stopped the transfer, despite FOUR PAWS having all the necessary documentation.
